Dr. Denise Kruszewski founded the Center for Stress Recovery and Resilience (CSRR) to promote mindful, holistic, and effective responses to life’s challenges for individuals and organizations engaged in high-intensity, high-impact personal and professional endeavors. The clinicians at CSRR specialize in gold standard treatments and programs for trauma, sleep, anxiety, substance abuse, and mindfulness.

The mission and approach used at CSRR is inspired by the experience “Dr. K” gained as the embedded civilian psychologist at the Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) from 2012-2017. At MARSOC, Dr. K developed rare expertise in providing evidence-based treatments for trauma, stress, anxiety, and sleep to special operations Marines, sailors, and their families. Along with other embedded assets, she crafted programs enhancing mental and physical performance in professional and personal endeavors for Service Members and their families.

At the CSRR, Dr. K aims to use this expertise to assist individuals, families, and organizations dedicated to enhancing their performance while engaged in challenging personal and/or professional endeavors, such as military professionals, first responders, NGO’s, and caregivers of those with special needs. Additionally, Dr. K has recruited and is training mental health professionals who want to learn how best to deliver these services in a culturally-competent and effective manner.

Colonel Gough has achieved over 3,800 flight hours and approximately 100 combat flight sorties, and has been awarded the Legion of Merit with two Gold Stars, the Bronze Star, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star, the Air Medal with the Numeral 2, the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two Gold Stars, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and numerous other unit and personal awards. In November 2008, Colonel Gough retired from the Marine Corps with 30 years of active duty service and assumed the position as Executive Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for the Orange County Transportation Authority. In 2018, Colonel Gough founded Poseidon Consulting LLC and is now devoting his time and energy providing subject-matter-expertise to various companies in a consultative, advisory and/or Board Member capacity. In February 2020, Colonel Gough assumed the position as CEO/President of PKL Services, Inc. and became the Vice Chairman of the PKL Services, Inc. Board of Directors.

Jesse James Johnston is a second-generation native Californian who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. After attending twelve years at St. Genevieve School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for eight years in the reserves. As an Airborne Radio Operator for 3 rd Anglico Jesse learned great communication skills and attention to detail. During his enlistment he was also employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District assisting, educating and modifying behavior for children with Autism. 10 years later and hungry for new challenges he decided to get his Real Estate License. Jesse has a plethora of knowledge regarding human behavior and by incorporating his patience, discipline, and knowledge of real estate, he has well prepared himself with the skills necessary to serve you. He has even driven to San Luis Obispo, painted homes and personally hauled furniture for his clients.
